The History of Pinterest

The Pinterest project was started in 2009 and was launched in 2010. In the first few months the site only had 5,000 years but after nine months the number of users had doubled. In March 2011 the Pinterest app was invented and put on the market. By August 2011 Pinterest was voted one of the top fifty websites in 2011. In December 2011, the site gained top ten status among social media websites. Pinterest reached the 11.7 million users in 2012 and keeps continuing to grow. Now the estimated value of Pinterest is well over $1.5 billion.
